Proflek's  industrial and commercial range of epoxy floors and coving are becoming the floor finish of choice.

In the case of old or existing concrete floors, cracks and imperfections can be sealed, leveled and smoothed whilst at the same time eliminating concrete dust.

New concrete floors can easily be sealed prior to being used. Seamless epoxy floor coatings deliver long term savings and address many occupational health and safety issues:
Easy maintenance and cleaning by manual and powered cleaning machines and commercial sweepers.

• Increased light reflection results in using less lighting and consuming less energy. 
  
  

• Chemical resistance where acids and solvents are used. The hard epoxy resistance surface provides for easy and quick cleanup. 
  
  
• Hygiene is a necessity in food production and food preparation workplaces. Buildup of foods and fats are much easier to clean due to the smooth resistant finish that epoxy coatings offer. Expensive and sometimes hazardous cleaning agents and solvents can be reduced to deliver savings. In workplaces where strict clean and hygiene work practices are essential there are few finishes which are as cost effective as epoxy coatings.
  
  
• Moisture Barriers: Epoxy coatings are impervious to oils, greases and most other industrial products. 
  
  
• Non-Slip Epoxy Floor: Anti-slip additives can be added to the epoxy to provide a safer workplace, thereby reducing accidents and increasing productivity. Proflek can control the size of the non-slip additive to suit the conditions. Reducing hazards in the workplace is an obligation. 
  
  
• Bunding: Where there is risk of hazardous substances leaking and escaping into the environment, a seamless bund or entrapment barrier will ensure safe practices are maintained.
  
  
• Safety Zones: In warehouses and factory floors, Proflek can colour or mark safety areas by means of lines, stripes or shading to designate safety zones to keep people and machines apart. 
  
  
• Machinery Surface: Our epoxy finish is extremely hard and durable, making it an ideal surface for forklifts, manual trolleys and other mobile machines where smoothness and grip are required. For stationary machines, cleaning the floors around the machine is much easier. Where necessary, a seamless epoxy finish can be applied from the concrete floor and up onto machine supports. 
  
  

Diamond Grinding:
At Proflek we understand that whilst your concrete floor is being worked on, production time can be effected. Our commercial quality diamond grinding equipment ensures we can prepare the concrete and do the job in a timely manner without effecting quality.

Coving:
Coving in food preparation and commercial kitchens is in most council's specifications. Epoxy Mortar coving is a lot stronger than concrete coving. At approximately 64MPA the coving won’t chip or crack and maintains its integrity.
